March 28

Just finished Call of Duty 4 today. The single player campaign was a little short, but it really felt like a good length. I was glad that I could actually finish a game :).

Now, this is probably one of the best games I have ever played. Most definitely the best First Person Shooter I have ever played. The game was certainly challenging, there where several areas that I had to play many many times to stay alive and get through. The game had all the great elements of a shooter, plenty of scenes of INTENSE action and fire fights, but then there where also several levels where you have to sneak around and not get caught. The story line also really draws you in. You really sort of got to really like the people you fought along side with, especially over the last several missions... I wont spoil the end for those that want to play, all I gotta say is they did a phenomenal job making a connection with the player to the different in-game characters. Not many games really accomplish that.

Kudos to Activision for another fine release in the CoD series.

Peace

March 27

Man, I need a proper Macro lens again...

So what is the secret to taking different pictures everyday? Maybe I am just to busy to find something interesting to shoot.

Today's features the latest and last upgrade to my MacBook Pro. Over the weekend, I replaced the 120GB internal drive, which is too cramped for me, for a foxy 320GB drive. It rocks.

So now really, there aren't any more possible upgrades for my lappy. Well, technically there is one where you can replace the DVD drive for a second hard drive. Worth considering some day in the future. I barely use the thing any way :D

Peace.

March 24

Good fun! I learned how to make stereographic projection. Or rather, making a planet out of a panoramic shot. Fricken sweet. Our house is at the top.

I call this "Home Planet"

Get it?

Haha, I'm lame.

Peace.

Sorry, its been a while. Gotta keep tryin to stick with it, eh?

These are the last two shots from an architectural shoot I have been working on. These shots are the reason I got the Sigma 12-2mm. Blazes that is a neat lens.

March 16

Blazes I am tired. Got to spend an hour or two to shoot around at a forest preserve and then shoot around for a submission for a Fred Miranda assignment "Technology". Good times.

Still be looking for pictures from Israel. Taking some time to get through them.

March 11 - Last day in Israel

Last day :(. At the end of the day, the temperature dropped nearly 15 degrees in less than 2 hours. Needless to say, I wasn't prepared for that. Brrrrrr.

1) This little kid was trying to stone us. Luckily for us, we where a good 50 feet above him.

2) Pano of the view from Ciaphas' house. Click it, should appear larger (in theory). Think I used 11 picture for that one.

3) Kyle with his soccer ball shaped acorn.

4) I think that guy is trying to offer his finger, in case you need to pick your nose. Really, I think there was an epic scene on the door. Not sure what it was.

5) Jesus. Encased in carbonite.

6) Which is it?

7) We lost John. The pit was bottomless. Very deep. We assume he didn't survive the 18" fall.

8) One of my favorites.

9) Where Jesus was buried. Maybe.

10) Garden, with the walls of Jerusalem in the background. Also a pano, only 4 pictures for that one. Click it. Now.

11) Olive Tree in the Garden of Gethsemane.

12) Goats. Who's have thought?

13) The whole group! Even me!

14) Kyle. This guy was awesome. He is an Australian, working as a Youth Pastor in Kuwait. Rawk.

15) Amanda and Alicia riding the camel. The camel has a name. Can't remember it... I do remember that it was ridiculous, like the Fonz or similar... But I think it was a tougher name than that.

16) Mr. Camel again.

17) See above two.

18) My favorite picture of Alicia. Loving the sunset.

19) Another of my favorite from the whole trip. Its so hilarious!

20) And last up, another massive pano. This one is over looking Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives. I think this one has 17 pictures or so in it.

Thanks for watching kiddies!

John 15:11-17

PS- I am just wondering, does any one look up the verse I put down? Usually after I write up my posts, I meaned through the gospels and find a verse or so to put up. My way of reading the Bible I guess. Even if none of you read them, I will keep posting them anyway.

March 10

Dia Four! We woke up early this morning and went through some of the tunnels that where in the Western Wall. Then later went up to the temple mount.

1) Just a dirty empty building with an 'Open' sign

2) They crossing sign guys have hats!

3) Is the sign holding the Rabbi up, or is the Rabbi hold up the sign? You decide.

4) Nice sidewalk shot, exiting the Damascus Gate.

5) Again, armed for a fight. Even at the Western Wall. Could you imagine guys with guns providing security INSIDE our churches?

6) South African hand. B&W is so much fun sometimes.

7) Probably my favorite shot of John.

8) And a guy on the side of the road mimicking John. Nice.

9) Begger at the Western Wall.

10) Unity! Or rather comparing skin tones...

11) View of the Western Wall from above.

12) See above.

13) Peeking through at the Wall. Love this shot, even if it was no specific purpose.

14) Ah, the Priest sporting Crocs and Denim Jeans.

15) Inside a cathedral we sang in. Incredible. I wish my church had those acoustics. I would be HAPPY to sing hyms :)

16) See above.

17) View of the Western Wall from ground level.
